Doing Business in Russia: organizational aspects.
There are two ways for a foreign company to establish legal business presence in Russia: formation of a wholly or partially owned resident subsidiary (Russian company with foreign capital) or accreditation of a representative office or branch. Principal difference is that while a subsidiary formally is an independent legal entity capable of operating on its own, a representative office is purely an “observer” acting on behalf of its parent company within authority limited by the Power of Attorney. Choosing between the two is solely a question of business strategy with consideration of such issues as tax, labor, structure, etc.
For our clients we provide full range of services related to registration of legal entities and accreditation of representative offices or branches of foreign companies, including paperwork and document submission/collection.
